About me
I’m Omar, a product designer from Russia, currently based in Malaysia with 9+ years of experience building user-centered experiences across edtech, medtech, govtech, and more.
How it started
I got into design at 13, messing around with Photoshop on my first PC. That love for visuals led me to architecture, where I learned how to balance form and function, which led me to product design, where I get to solve real problems and shape digital experiences for millions.
What I bring to the table
I help users discover what matters to them from day one, so they keep coming back.
I’ve improved platform engagement across multiple industries.
I thrive in both solo and cross-functional team environments, ensuring clear accountability for the entire design process.
My process is grounded in UX research, systems thinking, and user interviews, and I increasingly use tools like Claude Code and Cursor to prototype interactions, explore edge cases, and validate ideas earlier in the process.
What guides me
Simplicity, clarity, and accessibility. I’m always driven by real user needs and business goals. I love learning new tools and methods that expand how I think and what I can offer, especially when they help shorten feedback loops between design and real product behavior.
Outside of work
I’m the type who gets up at 6am for a 120km ride. It clears my mind.
I experiment with AI tools and build side projects to stay sharp and keep up with how fast things are changing. One of them started as a personal tool for my cycling community, helping us turn ride and run data into clean, stylized maps we can easily share. Building it pushed me to work more closely with APIs, frontend logic, and real-world constraints.
